Security meets style with the Liberty Safe Franklin 40

Say hello to the most gorgeous safe I have ever laid my eyes on, The Liberty Safe Franklin 40 in color white gloss! This safe is not only beautiful to look at, but also an incredible force to be reckoned with when it comes to security and functionality.

Designing the safe I wanted on the Liberty Safe website was incredibly fast and easy. It truly took only MINUTES and I had all of the exact specifications selected, submitted and ready to order. Once my order was placed, production of the safe took roughly nine weeks to complete prior to the safe being shipped to a local dealer who then arranged delivery with me to my home.

Delivery of my Franklin 40 was shockingly simple and pretty crazy to watch. No joke, two men effortlessly delivered a safe that weighs more than 800lbs into my home by laying a few pieces of wood down to create a makeshift ramp into my front door while the safe was on a small furniture dolly. I don’t know what I expected, but I definitely didn’t expect it to appear as effortless as it was for these two men.

Before I discuss the specifics of our particular safe, I want to acknowledge first and foremost that all products offered by Liberty Safe are made in the United States! That’s right! Liberty Safe employs 350 American workers who build safes with American-made steel! [Taken directly from the Liberty Safe website] How cool is that? Woo hoo! Go USA!

Now let’s dive right into the specifications of the Liberty Safe Franklin 40, shall we? First up, fire protection.

The Liberty Safe Franklin 40 offers 110 minutes of certified fire protection at 1200* F and has a Palusol heat-activated door seal that expands to protect against smoke and heat.

In addition to fantastic fire protection to keep your most important documents, firearms, and personal items safe, the Franklin 40 also offers top-notch security features including the Liberty DX-90 MONSTER MECH, military locking bars, and triple case hardened steel plates.

While this safe is definitely a beast, it’s also a physical beauty, too! The Franklin 40 also has amazing style and function, allowing you to choose between four different exterior finishes, two different types of hardware, two different chrome lock types and four different interior options!

For my Franklin 40 I selected a white gloss with camel fabric, black chrome hardware and went with a SecuRam Prologic lock. I absolutely LOVE how sleek the white gloss looks, allowing the Franklin 40 to completely blend in with the rest of my furniture and easily become a beautiful piece within the room. I wanted to make sure the safe I designed looked like a great piece of furniture that I WANTED to see, not a dark clunky box that I hid in the garage [No offense to anyone who prefers a dark-colored safe that they store in their garage, it just wasn’t what I was looking for].

Moving on to the interior….There are four different 4-in-1 Flex interiors to choose from when designing your Franklin 40, allowing you to configure your safe to perfectly meet your needs. These interior options include: Executive, Sportsman, EZ-Access and Collector. For mine, I selected the EZ-Access set-up which provides a great mix of shelving for personal items and also for long firearms. The website not only provides a great description of each, but also imagery to keep it simple!

Additional included accessories are the factory-installed deluxe door storage panel, deluxe electrical outlet kit and the Glowflex lighting system. The Glowflex lighting system requires assembly, but was incredibly simple to install.
