Hosted: Mermaid Glow Party & World Of Whiskey at Orlando World Center Marriott
Alright guys, I’ve shared Orlando World Center Marriott with you all last year and we loved it SO MUCH that we went back! This time, with a few more incredible and special experiences for Father’s Day weekend! Let’s dive right in, shall we?
If you aren’t familiar with Orlando World Center Marriott, This property is not only gorgeous, but absolutely MASSIVE! It has 28 floors, 1899 rooms, 111 suites and 104 meeting rooms! You could easily get lost here and there is definitely no shortage of things to do and countless places to relax! It is ideally located close to the Disney parks and even offers various daily shuttles to the Disney parks from the resort for guests! Let’s dive right into the key amenities this property offers, because it’s seriously beyond impressive!
Key amenities include: Hawk’s Landing Golf Course, which is a full-sized 18-hole golf course. An additional on-site mini-golf course, a full spa, fitness center and arcade. Falls Pool Oasis , which is the primary, lagoon-style hotel pool. There’s also a dedicated children’s splash zone with small water slide for little ones. There’s a separate River Falls waterpark, which is home to three multi-rider waterslides and a 575ft lazy river. Cabanas and daybeds are also available to rent and there’s even an on-site recreation department which plans activities from arts & crafts to hula hoop competitions and even a nightly laser light show over the main pool!
If you’re hungry, this property also offers plenty of dining options! I love the broad diversity of the restaurants which definitely provides enough variety to make everyone in your visiting party happy! Dining options on property include the following: The Lobby Lounge which offers cocktails, sushi and small plates of food. Open daily from 4:00PM-12:00AM. The Falls Pool Bar & Grill, which is open 11:00AM-10:00PM. We enjoyed a family dinner on Father’s Day at Siro Urban Italian Kitchen, open 5:00-10:00PM. Additional restaurants and dining options on property include: Mikado Japanese Steak House, open 5:00-9:00PM , Latitude & Longitude, which is open 7:00AM- 4:00PM and is an American-style restaurant. This is also where we enjoyed breakfast with the most phenomenal buffet! There’s made-to-order eggs Benedict, waffles, pancakes and more! The buffet was truly awesome!
If you’re looking to catch a big game while on property, you’ll want to dine at High Velocity, which is the sports bar on property and open Monday through Saturday 4PM- 11PM and Sunday 12:30PM-11:00PM. If you’re not on the mood to sit down somewhere, you would prefer to just grab and go, there is also a Central Pantry open everyday from 7:00AM-12:00AM which offers freshly made items like gourmet Italian flatbreads, salads, baked goods and frozen yogurt. There’s also a Starbucks located in the main lobby and even in-room dining with chef prepared to-go packaged meals delivered right to your room or available for pickup in under 25 minutes!
Alright, let’s talk accommodations! This property offers 7 different guest rooms and 9 different suites to choose from! We had the following guest room: “2 Queen(s), Pool-Laser Show view.” our room was 425sqft, had an oversized 50sqft balcony facing the Falls Pool Oasis, a beautiful bathroom with dual sinks and a large shower. We also had a mini-fridge in room, which was nice since we always travel with snacks and fruit! This guestroom was clean, modern and definitely spacious enough for my party of three! Check it out:
Do you have a little one who loves mermaids? If so, you MUST attend a Mermaid Glow Party! Mermaid Elle and Friends interact with hotel guests as they swim around Falls Pool. During the Mermaid & Glow Parties, hotel guests can enjoy up-close photo opportunities to meet the beautiful mermaids, swimming and dancing to a live poolside DJ while surrounded by glowing décor and bubble machines, sipping and tasting themed food and beverage offerings, and more as the recreation team hosts its spectacular glow event.
The glow event begins at 7 p.m. with the mermaids splashing around from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the remaining 2024 dates: July 13, July 20, Aug. 3, Aug. 21, Oct. 12, Nov. 30 and Dec. 28.
As an added bonus, Orlando World Center recently introduced a new experience, the Mermaid Glow Cabanas. Available for purchase from 7-10 p.m. on select Mermaid & Glow dates, the themed Mermaid Glow Cabana offers up to six guests a private VIP meet & greet with Mermaid Elle® and friends; delicious beverages in glow cups; and special glowing swag to illuminate the evening. Cabana availability is limited, reserve one ahead of your stay!
Also, this pool is the location for the nightly laser show at 9:00PM EST. It’s 10 minutes long and absolutely worth the watch! Feel free to enjoy if from your balcony or even while within the pool itself! It’s super cool and your little ones will also enjoy it! Check out our view of the nightly laser show from our balcony:
After spending the evening at the main, “Falls Pool Oasis” for the Mermaid Glow party, the next day we head over to “River Falls” waterpark in a reserved cabana. I absolutely LOVED that the waterpark was tucked away from the primary pool so it was way more relaxed and quieter. We also had our cabana booked for the day facing the lazy river in the waterpark which was absolutely heavenly and I truly can’t recommend it enough. If you are planning on booking a cabana I highly suggest selecting River Falls for its location if you want a little more relaxation and tranquility and select the Falls Pool Oasis area for more upbeat, high-energy atmosphere.
Some notable features of the River Falls waterpark include a 575ft. Zero entry lazy river, 3 Inner tube waterslides for up to 2 riders. An aqua playground with bubbling nozzles and two tall vertical leaf spraying elements. Poolside lounge chairs and cabanas. Poolside refreshments and plenty of beautiful, lush tropical landscaping.

Do you have a bourbon lover in your party? My husband and brother LOVE collecting and sampling various bourbons so I knew they would have a blast at the “World Of Whiskey” event on property.
Travel around the World of Whiskey with Orlando World Center Marriott, showcasing the top 30 selling Whiskeys, Scotches and Bourbons on the market today, paired with unique lite bites. Tickets to this event were $100 per person for General Admission which is from 6PM-9PM or $150 per person for VIP Admission which is from 5PM-9PM which includes additional perks such as special access to the speakeasy & a customized tasting glass. Not only did my husband enjoy the various beverages in the tasting, but the bites were to die for! The event was beautiful and such a perfect way to end the day on property! I HIGHLY suggest participating in this event if it is offered again during your visit on property. Check out some photos from the “World Of Whiskey” event:

Since we were visiting this fabulous property for Father’s Day weekend, my husband not only was able to enjoy the “World of Whiskey” event, but he also spent the morning in the spa on property! The Spa at World Center Marriott offers a variety of services from facials to nails, waxing and a variety of massages.
My husband was able to enjoy a custom 80 minute massage in which he informed the therapist of his wellness goals and areas of preference, then unwinds with a customized experience. The expert therapist may use a variety of massage styles such as Reflexology, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Swedish, Neuromuscular, Stretching, and more. There are also a variety of massage ad-ons to choose from to further customize the experience.
The spa also had additional fabulous amenities to enjoy such as a relaxation room which had complimentary hot tea and other beverages and even a steam room in each locker room.
In a nutshell, if you are looking for a phenomenal resort located near Disney that offers shuttles to the park, has a diverse option of restaurants on property, expansive pool and waterpark, incredible recreational activities and fun seasonal events, Orlando World Center Marriott is the property for you! There is truly something for everyone in your party to enjoy during your stay and you will NOT be disappointed! The staff on-site are attentive, helpful and ready to do what it takes to ensure you have a wonderful stay!
